Live Business Seminars – A Goldmine of Opportunities

I’ve always been a big fan of live events, and I’ll tell you why.

I know many people find them a waste of resources, especially the part that’s going on in the room – the actual lessons! – but I totally disagree.

Live events are a goldmine like no other… they’re a one-way ticket to a whole new level of business success!

You see, it’s not just the information you learn from the speaker(s), although that alone is worth the cost of attending, and I’ll get back to it in a moment, it’s about the new perspective you gain, the networking, the insights the new environment triggers, the creativity and inspiration you can almost see swirling around…

When you say YES to yourself, and invest in participating to a live event, you welcome new amazing people into your life, you open the doors to new joint ventures, you transform yourself in a client magnet, and, even more importantly, you make a statement to the universe that you’re ready to play bigger.

Now, the thing that fascinates me so much about live events, is the opportunity to observe the host and the speaker(s), as well as other attendees. It’s amazing how much you can learn this way. For instance, you can learn what NOT to do, which is invaluable, really!

I flew across the world last November to be at Ali Brown’s Shine event in Las Vegas, Nevada. It took me around 45 hours to get there, but it was totally worth it. It was a blast!

If we set aside for a sec that my borrowed suitcase got lost twice in 7 days (I’m thinking bad karma, because MY suitcases always arrive at destination in time!), I had a fantastic time, plus, my collection of “gems of wisdom” has grown quite a bit….

One of the best takeaways came from meeting a person that up to that point I only knew through one of her videos. I remember I thought she was soooo cool when I saw her on that video that I immediately knew I wanted to meet her in person. So, when I got the chance to introduce myself, I grabbed it wholeheartedly!

And guess what?

She was completely unfriendly, and utterly rude to me, even though I approached her with great energy, and complimented her video with a big smile on my lips.

She hated me… she froze as soon as she heard where I was from, and there was no way we could possibly start a positive conversation.

It was pretty eye-opening for me, because I realized once again how vital it is to live your truth all the time, and not show one face online, and another one in person.

On a happier note, I also met many incredible, inspiring, and caring people that I’m still in touch with, and that made those few precious days in Las Vegas special and unforgettable.

A huge thank you goes to Toni Cascio and Angelique Rewers (www.richersmarterhappier.com), two wonderful women that helped me out big time even if they’ve just met me, and knew nothing about me… You really rock, gals!

And, here’s a pic of me, and two very special ladies, my fabulous roommates, Amy Tuggle (www.amytuggle.com) and Jenny Amon Fenig (www.jennyfenig.com):

Uh, I can’t wait for my next live event! I’m not sure which one I’ll choose, but I hope to see you there! In the meantime, you can read my “How to Get Ready for a Live Event” (link to this article posted in the “Free resources” area) article, and let me know how you feel about live events :)
