28 Entrepreneur Success Summit gems – what a terrific event!

This past Friday the most incredible thing happened – I opened an email, and I saw an invitation to attend Chuck Mullaney’s Entrepreneur Success Summit that was being held in Ocean City, Maryland, VIRTUALLY (by live stream), and – I couldn’t believe my eyes – the investment for the ticket was just 10 dollars!

Needless to say, I jumped on the offer, and joined the party!

3 days, 14 sessions with accomplished entrepreneurs, and a ton of content later, I’d like to share some of the highlights of this mind-blowing online experience.

(I had a major breakthrough on Day 2 that turned all my entrepreneurial plans upside down, making me realize I need to step up and really live my truth… so, there are major, MAJOR shifts coming up, and I can’t wait to invite you to share the ride with me!)

So, here we go with 28 Entrepreneur Success Summit take-aways:

  • Consider publishing a print newsletter and make sure you put a picture of yourself smiling on the cover – after people see your smile 12 times, they start to like you (even if they haven’t read a word yet)!
  • Find a »differentiation point«, your unique angle or style of doing things. An awesome example? The Sparkle cat from www.sparklecat.com where the blogger is the cat, writing about her human – absolutely brilliant!
  • Always focus on the »critically few« proactive activities, doing at least one proactive thing a day to move your business forward big time.
  • The right questions lead to innovative solutions.
  • Concentrate on ENERGY management, not TIME management.
  • »Mastermind and collaborate with other smart entrepreneurs with futures bigger than their presents.« by Nick Nanton (great way to put it!!!)
  • »Make your business fun and making business with you fun.« – another gem by Nick Nanton!
  • According to the Chinese system, our lungs host the positive emotions of courage and confidence, and the negative emotions of sadness, grief and depression, while our kidneys, closely connected to the lungs, host the positive emotions of gentleness and piece of mind, and the negative emotion of fear. (learned by Matthew Furey – what a presentation!)
  • To increase your energy, rejuvenate, loose fat and build muscles there are 2 things to keep in mind – and practice: sprints and stillness! (thanks, Matthew Furey – will do that!)
  • »Positioning + Packaging = Desire = Buyer« by Dave Lakhani, the Master Practitioner of Neuro-Linguistic Programming
  • »Take the time to meet people expectations.« – again, Dave Lakhani
  • Ask yourself what do you want to be known for.
  • People make decisions about you in 0.3 seconds.
  • The site you should really optimize is your LANDING page.
  • Interesting online success formula by Tracy Repchuk: FEBENE; FE = front end, BE = back end, NE = never-ending profit (membership site)!
  • »Me + Google = Gold (Ka-Ching!)« formula by Joel Comm ;)
  • You get what you want when you help enough people get what they want. (sorry, not sure who said that)
  • Joel Comm’s formula #2: 1. Like me; 2. Know me; 3. Trust me; 4. Pay me.
  • Little choices make a big difference (→ the cumulative compound effect).
  • »Take action now, because tomorrow never comes.« by Clay Wooten
  • »Those who are afraid to buy are always afraid to sell.« – again, by Clay Wooten
  • »I’m a multi-millionaire whose money has not yet been deposited to my bank account.« – yet again, Clay Wooten :)
  • »Say YES first, then figure out a way to follow through later.« – yes, by Clay Wooten again!
  • »NetWork = NetWorth« by the simply A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. Stefanie Hartman (what a speaker!)
  • »I think, therefore I JV.« by Stefanie Hartman
  • Write at least 50 headlines before choosing »the one«. 150 is best. (gem by Trevor Crook)
  • The 3 most powerful words in copywriting: FREE, YOU, YOUR. (Trevor Crook)
  • »The biggest money is in offline marketing.« – again, by Trevor Crook
